We were delighted to attend the Welsh Government St David’s Day Reception in Hyderabad, hosted by Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, at the DHC Residence in Banjara Hills.

The evening brought together a wonderful community of friends of Wales, including the Wales Women’s Hockey Team, who travelled to Hyderabad for their World Cup pre-qualifiers, alongside a delegation from Global Wales, representatives from Welsh universities and institutes, and Welsh alumni from across Telangana.

As a proudly Welsh business operating on the global stage, it was a privilege to be part of an event that so powerfully showcased Wales’ international reach and the strength of its cultural identity. Celebrating St David’s Day thousands of miles from home, in the company of fellow Welsh representatives and friends, was a memorable occasion.

On the pitch, the result didn’t go Wales’ way against India, but we want to extend our commiserations to the Wales Women’s Hockey Team. Their commitment to representing Wales at the highest level of international competition is an inspiration, and we have no doubt they will return stronger.

A sincere thank you to the Welsh Government and the British Deputy High Commission Hyderabad for organising such a warm and welcoming reception. We look forward to continuing to fly the Welsh flag across our global operations.
