It was fantastic to welcome Jessica Morden, Member of Parliament for Newport East, to the de Novo Solutions’ headquarters in Langstone.

Ms Morden toured the offices and was able to find out about de Novo’s innovative work within the digital transformation sector through speaking to members of the team, including many of the newest recruits currently completing the Graduate and Apprenticeship Scheme. Ms Morden commented “My visit to de Novo Solutions was inspiring – it was great to be around so many talented young people and to see and hear how the company is nurturing and growing their skills and abilities in well-paid degree apprenticeships. Newport’s future lies in tech industries, and de Novo’s specialism in digital transformation is another string in that bow. I can’t wait to see what the next few years brings for this company.”

Staff shared an insight into the ambition, skill and hard work which has seen the company evolve into a leading tech pioneer in the five years since its launch – helping put Wales, and the Newport area specifically, on the map when it comes to the technology and innovation.

Alongside de Novo’s success in forming long-term partnerships to add value to public and private sector organisations through enhancing their HR, Procurement, Payroll and Finance functions utilising ServiceNow and Oracle Cloud solutions, the team was also able to proudly share news from the last few weeks. This has included achieving high-ranking places on the FT1000 Europe, Elite Business 100, and Tussell Tech200, and receiving a prestigious St David Award.

Founder and Group CEO Mark Sweeny said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Ms Morden to our office, and give her an insight into our work and our plans for future success. We are very proud to be a Welsh company, contributing to the local economy and the success of the Welsh technology sector.

“Hiring and nurturing the next generation of technology leaders is a key part of our vision at de Novo, so we are pleased Ms Morden was able to meet a group of our apprentices and hear first-hand from them about the benefits of combining earning a degree from the University of South Wales alongside on-the-job learning. It’s really important that businesses are supported to set-up and expand their apprenticeship programmes, and we hope this is our local MP will continue to champion both here and in Westminster.”
