de Novo Solutions has appointed Lynette Slater as Chief Executive, marking the next stage in the company’s growth. Founder Mark Sweeny will move into the role of Executive Chairman, continuing to provide strategic guidance and support to Lynette, the board and the wider leadership team.

The transition is designed to strengthen leadership capacity, sharpen accountability and support a more predictable and scalable business, while protecting the values, culture and commitment to clients that have shaped de Novo’s success.

Experience that combines strategy with delivery

Lynette brings more than 30 years’ experience in operations, technology, professional services and client leadership across insurance, financial services and software organisations. She has led complex, multi-million-pound change portfolios, built an award-winning professional services function and worked closely with boards, executive teams and major clients to turn strategic priorities into practical, value-led delivery.

Most recently, as Client Services Director at ICE Tech, part of the Acturis Group, she helped steer the business’s operations and growth, oversaw strategic client relationships and programme delivery, and grew professional services revenue to £13m in 2025. Earlier in her career, she led transformation and international expansion programmes at Allianz, including the development of a UK offshore operation into a global delivery model.

Her experience spans strategic growth, digital and technology governance, operational resilience, commercial performance and people development. Just as importantly, she is known for collaborative leadership, balanced judgement and a pragmatic approach to complex change.

Building on strong foundations

Lynette’s first priority will be to listen, learn and understand what helps de Novo’s people do their best work, and where we can make things clearer or better for the business and its client base. She will work with the existing senior leadership team to build on what is already working, invest in skills and tools, strengthen ways of working and create more opportunities for colleagues to grow their careers at de Novo.

She will also lead de Novo as it pursues the opportunity created by reform across policing and local government: deepening client relationships, building predictable and sustainable growth, and helping public sector organisations achieve better outcomes through AI and digital transformation.

“I am delighted to be joining de Novo and proud to have the opportunity to lead a company with such strong foundations. What has made de Novo successful is the expertise, commitment and care of its people. Together, we can build on what is already working and take the business into its next stage with confidence.”

Lynette Slater, Chief Executive, de Novo Solutions

This is an important transition for de Novo, but the direction is clear: continuity where it matters, fresh thinking where it can deliver better outcomes, and a stronger platform for clients and colleagues to succeed.
