Social Value

For some businesses, providing real community and social value might be a tick-box exercise, or something they feel obliged to do due to the pressures around CSR. But we’re not ‘some businesses’. We are de Novo, and we believe that successful businesses have a responsibility to create positive change beyond their clients and commercial success.
de Novo means “anew” or “fresh”.
That fresh thinking doesn’t stop at technology. It shapes how we invest in people, support communities and create opportunities for others to succeed.
If we can inspire the next generation of tech leaders to take the first steps towards their dream career; if we can enable young people to gain essential life skills; if we can ensure Wales is given the spotlight it so truly deserves. Well, then we’ve achieved what we set out to do.
We believe social value should be visible, measurable and meaningful.
Here’s how we’re turning that belief into action:

Our Graduate and Apprenticeship Programme creates opportunities for young people to build careers in technology, gain recognised qualifications and develop skills for the future.

A Nurturing Talent Through Sport programme: giving young people access to sport and the confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills that come with it.

Our unique Next Gen programme: designed to develop life skills, confidence and leadership qualities that are rarely taught in traditional education. Our newest recruits find themselves hiking the Brecon Beacons with former Army leaders, or presenting on stage to Royal Shakespeare Company actors. All in the name of gaining vital life skills, of course.

Through the social value projects which are woven into the fabric of the public sector relationships we have developed.

By sponsoring SARDA Wales, the charity which trains incredible dogs and their handlers (who are all unpaid volunteers) to find missing, lost and hurt people – providing hope, rescuing the stranded, and saving countless lives in the process.
“Because transformation should improve lives as well as organisations.”
